Zombie Inferno

I find that on the occasions that you need AWS instances with extra EBS Volumes attached (mdadm RAID for databases?) it can be quite tedious to provision and attach the volumes by hand. I built up this (very) simple Ruby script to free up time for more important things (bicycles, beer, what-have-you).

Just started an official 12 week Mountain Bike training plan yesterday. Specifically, it’s the Single Speed Base Plan from LW Coaching. Not terribly exciting by itself, but the results may be.

I’m a Systems Engineer of the Cloud/Scaling/DevOps variety. I design the systems that support Enterprise web applications (and other things). I also build the automation to deploy and support those applications.

I spent most of my day putting my newest incarnation of this blog together. Not bad for a days’s hacking.
